  • MP3 Player Advice

So I'm looking at purchasing an MP3 player.

Any suggestions on which ones to look at and to avoid?

Storage is probably my biggest concern. I'd like to get at least 8 GB with an expansion slot. If not, I'd probably pay a little extra for a higher capacity. I don't care between flash and HD based (unless one is noticably better than the other). I really don't want to pay over $200 for this and I'll more than likely get one from Best Buy since I have $50 reward zone bucks I can redeem.

Just got the 8 GB Nano....my original broke.

I did. Only holds 2K songs, but I really only use it to work out and at the office.

The Creative Zen is better than the iPod, but I don't know if Best Buy carries it. I refuse to shop from those bloodsuckers. If you have to use the gift card, go buy some CDs or DVDs and buy the MP3 player online.

I had a Sandisk 2g that worked great, but both my daughters had iPods and all of our music is through iTunes so I went ahead and got myself an iPod. I love it. I use it a lot more than I ever thought I would.

                      1) They're too pricey compared to the competition.

                      2) They have no additional memory card slot. If they did I might pay a slightly higher premium for one.

                      3) I don't want to be a slave to iTunes.

They are also prone to battery and hard drive problems.

Which SanDisk? They've sort of caught my eye.
