Anyone else read this book?



I got it for Christmas, started reading it on Friday night and finished it yesterday. I couldn't put it down. Khaled Hosseini is an extraordinary writer. You feel like you are living through the wars, through the abuse, through the dispair of those living in Kabul from the time the Soviets invaded until the time we overthrew the Taliban.

I have not read The Kite Runner, but will be picking that up this week.

It's good, but The Kite Runner is a thousand times better.

On order now. Hosseini really paints a powerful and chilling picture of what it was like to live in Kabul during those tumultous times.
