...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

ALTHOUGH VERY MILD TEMPERATURES WILL BLANKET THE REGION TODAY...A RETURN OF WINTER CONDITIONS IS EXPECTED MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY. THIS RETURN OF WINTER WILL OCCUR IN TWO WAVES.

THE FIRST WAVE WILL DEVELOP MONDAY NIGHT IN THE FORM OF SLEET AND SNOW... AND HEAVY SLEET ACCUMULATIONS MAY OCCUR. ON TUESDAY...AS THE COLD AIR DEEPENS OVER THE REGION...THE SECOND WAVE OF WINTER WEATHER IS EXPECTED... THIS TIME IN THE FORM OF HEAVY SNOW.
THE WEATHER PATTERN THAT WILL GIVE THE REGION THIS THREAT OF WINTER WEATHER IS VERY COMPLEX...AND SUBTLE SHIFTS IN THE LOCATION OF THE COLD AIR OR THE TRACK OF THE LOW PRESSURE MAY MAKE FOR LARGE CHANGES IN CONDITIONS OVER A VERY SHORT DISTANCE. THEREFORE... PEOPLE IN THE WATCH ARE URGED TO MONITOR LOCAL RADIO AND TV...ALONG WITH CABLE TV OUTLETS...FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THIS STORM.

A WINTER STORM WATCH IS ADVANCED NOTICE THAT SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA...IT DOES NOT MEAN IT IS A CERTAINTY. THOSE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD BEGIN PREPARING IN CASE THE STORM DOES MATERIALIZE. IF YOU HAVE TRAVEL PLANNED...YOU MAY WANT TO ADJUST YOUR TRAVEL TIME TO AVOID THE STORM. ALSO...YOU SHOULD USE THIS ADVANCED NOTICE TO MAKE CERTAIN YOUR VEHICLE IS WINTERIZED. MAKE PREPARATIONS AT HOME BY STOCKING EMERGENCY SUPPLIES...SUCH AS FOOD... MEDICINE...AND EXTRA HEATING FUEL... JUST IN CASE THE STORM MAKES TRAVEL IMPOSSIBLE. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR THOSE LIVING IN RURAL AREAS.
    80 today snow tomorrow...

I would hope it doesn't stick, given how warm it's been... (sorry yaks )

It was so nice to have the windows open yesterday and last night. I'm looking forward to going home just to relax w/the windows open. Luckily for me I actually have a window by my desk at this new project site...it's open...and I'm happy.

One of the guys from work said he saw the Canadian Snow Geese flying north. I thought I heard a robin singing this morning. The tulip bulbs here at SJMMC have grown out about 6" now. Nothing like signs of spring!

It is going to be halfway through April before the ground is hard enough to play golf. This sucks.
Nature always sides with the hidden flaw.

We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.

              Goddammit.

4-7 inches of snow, + sleet accumulation.

This is true, I watched about 100 going up the river today.

What I wouldn't give to have it be like yesterday and today ALL FREAKING YEAR! Although running up hill into 30 MPH wind sucks...especially while dragging 50 LBS of furry out of shape four-legs...I had to fire Buddy from being my running partner.

That's a bit too cold for me. I'll do it at 70.
