  • John Shaw likely to leave the Ram organization before training camp

With all the free agent signings and trade rumors, I just remembered (after reading BobCarl's resignation letter) something Bernie M. said today on "The Roll Home" that kind of got lost in all the other things going on today.

Bernie was talking about Chip Rosenbloom and the interview he and Jim Thomas did with him. He said Rosenbloom was still settling Georgia's estates and paper work.

He then said after the draft to "look for some big changes in the Rams organization after the draft." He then went on to say "John Shaw will likely step down as team president before training camp." He and Randy K. went on to speculate who would become the team president (they mentioned a St.Louis guy that worked with the Cardinals).

Bernie has long said when Shaw goes, Zygmunt will soon follow. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel after all.

        Mark Sauer?

Preparing the team for a sale....It'll get worse before it gets better.

Damn you to hell for even suggesting such a thing.
Nature always sides with the hidden flaw.

We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.

He said St. Louis guy who worked for the Cards....So I just automatically figured the worst.

I guess that would help with the cap. Maybe they would hire LaRussa. I am sick of having the baseball team with the most steroid guys and the football team with the least.

Who would you rather have running the team, Zyggy or Sauer?

Zyggy & Sauer both know numbers, but Sauer would leave the "football operations" to someone else, which we've all seen that Zyggy should've done as well.

Kinda flys in the face of what was reported a few days ago.

That would put him "in charge" again, since he was neutered by John Davidson.

The question on Sauer is whether he can set up an organization conducive to winning. Zyggy has pretty much answered that question in the negative.

Good, that means less interviews with that scratchy-voiced mofo. Now if we could just have Bruce Weber get a job in the Pac 10 or something. Like nails on a chalkboard.

There are two things more annoying than Bruce Weber's voice: his whining and the softball questions asked of him.

                              Oh, speaking of that:

                              02/28/2008

NEW YORK — Chip Rosenbloom has no interest in moving the Rams, and no current plans to sell the team.

"We love St. Louis," Rosenbloom told the Post-Dispatch this week in his first interview as Rams owner. "To me, St. Louis has been wonderful to my family, to my mother. I'm actually kind of surprised that there's that much speculation."

The death of Rosenbloom's mother, Georgia Frontiere, on Jan. 18 triggered rumblings that the Rams might move back to the West Coast, particularly since Rosenbloom — a movie producer — lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Kathleen, and two children.
