  • SIU head coach Chris Lowery in Belleville, IL. tonight ..

..watching the Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) Blue Storm take on Wabash Valley College in men's JUCO basketball.

Asked if he was interested in any one player in particular - Lowery would only say, "I'm just looking."

Lowery was spotted briefly talking with an unidentified member of the Wabash coaching staff. But had a rather extended conversation (about 8-10 min.) with SWIC head coach Jay Harrington.

The evening marked sophomore night for the home finale of the Blue Storm's 2007-08 regular season. Last game in front of the SWIC faithful for Devron Bostick who has already signed a letter of intent to play for Tubby Smith at Minnesota next season.

    Southwestern won the game 80-74.

Jim Rome once said, "I talk about sports and sports related topics. While others talk about me." So be it.

SIU is in need of a forward that can step in and provide some minutes next year, so I would imagine he was looking at Josh Harrelson.

He wore that style during the '94-'95 preseason, although the nameplate lettering was a little different.

Clearly his most memorable time as a Blue, Judson.

                          Who was he there scouting?
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."
