Jack's entering a chili contest tomorrow and realized a bit after the fact he probably likes onions in chili more than most. How does the Lounge feel?

            Of course!!

I cut mine up a little big, put them in late so they stay firm, same with the green peppers.

I'm not so sure about green peppers in chili. I wouldn't call them a necessary component....

my brother in law's grandmother used to eat onions like apples. That's way too hardcore for me.

I beg to differ....I prefer a thicker, well-balanced chili, so I will use a combo of green, orange, and yellow peppers diced up to counter the hot with the sweet....it makes for a great tasting batch...

Exactly. Added to the chili when it's served is the way to go.

Also, skip the ground beef. Cut up a couple of steaks (strips or ribeyes) and cook them in a skillet for your meat. Steak in chilli is the way to go. Green peppers are delish, too. I also like to cut up a jalapeno and put it in my mixture.

I cook mine in a similar fashion. I generally detest onions, but if they are cooked in with the ground beef and pork sausage to start, it is fine. Also, no beans. They are nothing but filler.
