    When you talk big time trade deadline deals, it doesn't get any bigger than the 1992 Nordiques/N-Stars blockbuster involving Kip Miller and Steve Maltais.

    Feb. 27, 2007: St. Louis traded RW Bill Guerin to San Jose for LW Ville Nieminen, LW Jay Barriball and New Jersey's 1st-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft (previously acquired).

      March 5, 1991: Geoff Courtnall, Robert Dirk, Sergio Momesso, Cliff Ronning and future considerations traded from St. Louis to Vancouver for Dan Quinn and Garth Butcher.

        I remember that. Outside of getting a good hockey 'name' - I mean, c'mon, Garth Butcher may be the best name for a hockey player ever - I think that may be the worst trade ever. There is absolutely no defense of that trade. I was pissed about it at the time, and am still pissed about it.

          The only thing Blues related that ticks me off more is when I think about the Judge Houston decision on Stevens. It's one of those things where I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I got that news.
