    In praise of Ronald Reagan

    Joe Louis's son was on the Chris Dimino show yesterday. He spoke of meeting Ronald Reagan when he was president. Reagan had signed a bill to allow his father to be buried with military men.

    Anyway - Joe Louis's son said Reagan wouldn't let him get away - how he talked to him for 15 minutes straight but wouldn't let him get a word in edge wise. He recounted every time he had ever met Joe Louis are saw him fight.

    Reagan said the proudest moment of his life was a night in Madison Square Garden with Joe Louis said - we are going to win the war - because God is on our side.

    Joe Louis Jr said the President was very genuine in his comments and it left him humbled. He believed the president was trying to make up for the BS the IRS put Joe threw in his later life.

    Great story - and it gave me a whole new view of Reagan.
