  • anyone know anything about refrigerators??

My Kenmore side by side has water in the door. The pressure comming out of it has always been shitty ( 50 seconds or more to fill a glass) I just changed the petcoc valve tonight and now the pressure going to the fridge is great, but coming out is still sucks. Any one here ever fix this problem?

I will hang up and listen

Does it have a built in water filter?

    They can get stopped up.

How do you know the pressure going in is "great"?

Right under the freezer door lower hinge, you should find a 1/4" plastic water line. There should be a connection there that you can disconnect.

Put a bowl under the line that comes from the rear of the refrigerator and then have someone push the water paddle.

Check the water volume / pressure there.

If bad water flow, I'd think water valve or a line kink from the valve to holding tank or tank to connection..

If good to there, the line that goes to the dispenser could be kinked or bad inside the freezer door.

Guess I should have asked sooner, is it still under warranty?

And I agree with BB, how do you know that water pressure and volume is good?

I shut the saddle valve, unhooked the line from the back of the fridge, opened the valve and filled a glass (16 oz) in 2 seconds. Seems like great pressure and volume to me.

You have pressure and volume to the fridge - then the problem is somewhere in the line for the fridge.

I guess you should start at the dispenser nozzle and work backwards - check to make sure it's clear or replace it.

Actually - if it's not the dispenser nozzle I have no clue what it could be - other than a kinked line.

                      That's good water supply.

Check it at the connection under the freezer door hinge, that will eliminate half of the system.

Is your refrigerator running? You better go catch it!
