  • Clinton targets pledged delegates

Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign intends to go after delegates whom Barack Obama has already won in the caucuses and primaries if she needs them to win the nomination.
This strategy was confirmed to me by a high-ranking Clinton official on Monday. And I am not talking about superdelegates, those 795 party big shots who are not pledged to anybody. I am talking about getting pledged delegates to switch sides.
What? Isn’t that impossible? A pledged delegate is pledged to a particular candidate and cannot switch, right?
    Wrong.
    More

Is there any way to piss off people more than to go out and not vote for who the majority of the sate voted for?
Obama has huge numbers of young people entering the political fray, people are getting involved and active, could Hillary and the party do anything worse in regard to keeping those people involved than to just say we don't care who you voted for, we are going to decide what's best.

They better not pull this shit.

The Clintons will pull no punches and do everything within (and probably outside) their power to receive (not win) the nomination. Nothing they do to accomplish this will surprise me.

It goes to the theory that they believe they are owed the nomination and Obama didn't get the memo.

      Entitlement vs. Earning.

I can see how their (yeah, their) Presidency would be run.

I didn't post the whole story, but did include the link.

And who says they are telling the truth.

                No, you certainly didn't.

This doesn't strike me as very plausible. Besides the kamikaze nature of the tactic, how the hell would this work? Appoint every wobbly Obama delegate to an ambassadorship? What could any candidate do to move delegates pledged to another candidate?

Who says that the initial report wasn't a lie?
