Is a political sign on church property the same as an endorsement from the pulpit?

I ask this as an Obama supporter. I have seen numerous black churches with an Obama 08 sign planted on their property. Is this a violation? I ask this in fairness to another church in which the Pastor endorsed Huckabee from the pulpit.

As a minister I don't even put a sign in my yard, nothing that says I can't but I just don't.

Jesus was very interested in social matters. While he may never have been interested in elective office, "take no gold or silver", he was certainly biased to the direction and persecution of the ruling class.
