  • Jennie Finch strikes out MLB players in softball

    Making her pitch

The best performance of this TV sports weekend might have occurred Jan. 11 when NBC recorded the annual Pepsi All-Star Softball Game that airs Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Jennie Finch, the star U.S. Olympic Team softball pitcher, struck out Mike Piazza and Brian Giles. This was after she fanned Albert Pujols, Brian and Marcus Giles and pitchers Mark Mulder and Tim Hudson in a pregame exhibition.

"Hudson fouled off a pitch. No one else touched the ball," said Ted Robinson, who broadcast the game for NBC.

damn! I remember seeing something before the Super Bowl about how Tom Brady's sister said she could strike out Tom. She was on the national team and an all-american if I remember right.

Anything with Jennie is worth watching.
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."

I'm not surprised she could strike them out. Didn't she do a thing last year on TV pitching against hitters, including A-Rod? I don't think anyone could even touch her.

I remember reading somewhere that Nolan Ryan's wife could pitch a ball faster than he could.
