Um, wouldn't the Rams be better off with Kearse than Wistrom?

      Yes.

Do the Rams have the cap room?

I don't see how they could....
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."

The Titans are about to go through major cap hell.

Anyway, Kearse hasn't been a great player since 1999. He's constantly hurt and he's often a non-factor. He can be a dominant force at times but he is nowhere near as good as he was as a rookie.

If they get can "talk" Warner and Faulk into retiring, then they'd have the room.

They need to bring their friend, Joe Q Tireiron to do some convincing.

I don't think any team is thinking of paying Wistrom Michael Strahan money. Some team will overpay for Kearse because pass-rushers are in such demand.

Well, I agree with you that the Rams shouldn't be overly concerned about keeping Wistrom...but Kearse shouldn't be the reason why. Since they already have Little, they don't need anything more than a solid guy on the other side (John Engelberger might be a good guy for them). They need to be using those cap dollars on some fat defensive tackles.

Please, for the love of god: NO MORE DTs!!!!!!!

The Rams judgement on DTs is about as good as Jamal Lewis' judgement on "investment opportunities"

There's no chance of Kearse being a Ram.

The Rams have less than $9 million in salary cap room after putting the franchise tag on left tackle Pace. They will have less than $6 million remaining after making one-year qualifying offers to restricted free agents Marc Bulger, Jerametrius Butler, Bryce Fisher and Brandon Manumaleuna.
