  • What if a church WANTS to marry two men or women?

Would the state be then interfering with religion?

A church can do anything it wants. The state doesn't have to recognize it.

I think hell would freeze over... and then the church would finally defeat Satan!

I agree, but to then give certain rights to certain marriages is the problem.

There are different doctrines for each church. For example, there's a branch of the Presbyterian church that has a gay leader.

Dubya didn't call out the nation guard to stop that?

ME? It doesn't, but the government shouldn't be interfering with what a church does, nor should it recognize the actions of one over another.

I thought it was the Epsicopalian church with the gay bishop?

Has caused a major split nationally in the church to my understanding.

Well then obviously, that church would be wrong, so what they want to do doesn't count...they would just have to do what's right according to our lord, G-W and his merry band of crusaders...
. . . and to tell you this: I work with gays, have friends who are gay, go to church with gays. Most of them are aware that I believe that homosexual behavior is sin. Some of them actually agree. Most don't. It's OK . . . because they also know or at least have been made aware of my multitude of sins: adulterous heart, lustful and covetous behavior, wicked pride, angry spirit . . . do I need to go on?

Do Christians who are opposed to homosexual marriages have a problem with homsexuals that say they are Christians?
