In the wake of the Leonard Little DWI incident last evening, and the resulting firestorm of criticism aimed at him, I'd like for each of us to take a good look at ourselves.
How many of us can state with total honesty, that we've never been behind the wheel while over the limit?
I can't. Thankfully, I haven't been in that condition since August of 1991. I attended a Friday night Cards game at Busch. Following the game, a group of us hit the landing. Needless to say, by the time 2:00 AM rolled around, I was plowed. Somehow, by only the geace of God, I made it back home. To this day, I remember NOTHING about driving home. I woke up the next day wondering how I got home.
I was darn lucky.
In too many cases, people aren't.
Here's to hoping that Mr. Little gets the help he needs.
