    dev,

    What do you think?
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

It just shows our previous drafts have really sucked.

I like Jackson as he's shown he can run behind a shitty line.

I still would have liked defense and I don't know what we have up.

Why are we picking a RB with our first pick..??

There isn't a DL or OL out there worthy of a 26th pick??

We gave up our first rounder and a fourth rounder (123rd overall)

Faulk is getting older, Jackson is the best back in the draft, we need defense more than anything, so that is the problem I have with it. The question I have is were any of the defensive players ranked in the top 15 picks. We got a player who was ranked in the top 15 at the 24th spot. We have few picks in the draft so one player rated 25-30 wouldnt have had as much impact as Jackson with that pick.

You pick best player available not based on need.

that's what Martz screwed up in the past.

This is a good pick - we need to replace Faulk eventually and this guy has all the tools to do it.

We'll get more picks later in the draft - can trade Gordon now.

No. You address your needs with the best player for your needs. Running back was probably sixth on our list behind:

                    Defensive linemen.
                    Cornerback.
                    Offensive linemen.
                    Wide receiver.

I thought it was a pretty good pick. With 26 and 91, odds were they would not get much of an impact player, yet they have. I like looking at all the predictions and mock drafts after the picks are made. This guy was really up there. Faulk could become ineffective almost any year now. Good pick.

This is a DAMN good draft selection for the Rams. Marshall may have one more good season left.

I never thought Jackson would fall low enough for the Rams to get him. I think this a solid move. Not the position we needed immediate help with the most but Marshall is getting older and having lost a step or two it still a position of need. Gordon was never going to be a true #1.

Simply, this guy is a better football player than any defensive player that was still on the board.

You guys are smoking the Martz gonja.

We needed defensive help. Worst case .. trade the pick and pick later. Don't trade up and give up another draft pick.

We're talking about the Rams here. You know the Trung and Gordon team.

Then again look at their picks last year ...
