  • Bernie getting married today

    Submitted without comment:

    Wedding bells

Post-Dispatch sports columnist Bernie Miklasz is a big Derby fan, and also conducts his radio show on KSLG (1380 AM) from Fairmount Park on Tuesday mornings. But he won't be there next week, as he'll be honeymooning after getting married today to Kirsten Gries.

"It's sort of fitting that a sportswriter gets married on Kentucky Derby day," Miklasz said Friday afternoon as he was trying to pick the winner on the Kentucky Oaks race. "The first day I asked her out was three years ago on Derby day, so we're getting married three years to the day."

      So he's marrying a horse?

Just kidding, glad he's happy or whatever. Maybe he'll cool off about the press box and stuff now.

        Bernie is so romantic.
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."
