  • Minor League News and Notes

Hello everyone, my name is Drew, and I was invited over here to post some minor league info. Well I was asked for, in my opinion, the top prospects in the Cardinal orginization. I will do top ten position, and top ten pitchers.

    Position Players:

    1. Daric Barton
    2. Yadier Molina
    3. John Gall
    4. Cody Haerther
    5. Travis Hanson
    6. John Nelson
    7. Cal Hayes
    8. Rayner Laya
    9. Skip Schumaker
    10. Sal Frisella

    Pitchers:

    1. Adam Wainwright
    2. Blake Hawksworth
    3. Chris Narveson
    4. Rhett Parrott
    5. Brad Thompson
    6. Mark Michael
    7. Stuart Pomeranz
    8. Anthony Reyes
    9. Luis Martinez
    10. Chance Caple

I also had a question on whether I thought we could see an all homegrown rotation, and yes I can see it in 2006:

    Haren
    Wainwright
    Ankiel
    Hawksworth
    Narveson

Welcome aboard. What do you think about Nick Stocks? Still a prospect? I think he's pitching well in AAA so far this year.

Welcome. What's the story on Brad Thompson? We were trying to figure that out on the Cardinal Organization Box Score Thread

Also, are there two John Nelsons, or was that an error?

          Sorry, that was a mistake.

Put Calvin Hayes in the 7 spot.

I don't know a whole lot about Brad Thompson, but from the small sample I have seen at AA, he seems like a pitcher. He has solid stuff all around, 90-91 mph fastball, and solid change and curve. I will try to find more on him later.

Thanks. Thompson seems like a Suppan-Williams type then.

              Drew....

Thank You. I think your input will be valuable. Please see the Cardinals organization thread. No1CardFan posts scores and thoughts, but I think he, myself, and every card fan there would appreciate your commentary, since you know the rookie ball guys.

              welcome aboard.!
              Are you on the list?
