Bartman Ball Being Destroyed Tomorrow

The fate of the ball hasn't been in question since the owners of Harry Caray's restaurant ponied up $113,824.16 to buy it at auction and announced plans to destroy it. But the method of destruction has been a closely guarded secret, set to be revealed Thursday morning on NBC's "Today" show.

As some may know, I'm a television director in Chicago. Our station is planning live coverage of this event on Thursday night. Apparently Harry Caray's restaurant paid over $115,000 for this ball just to destroy it. A spokesman for the restaurant says they don't want any other possible curses over the Cubs in the future.

What a bunch of whack jobs! This, beyond a doubt, shows that many Cubs fans are complete morons.

Word here in chicago says Bartman has declined invitations to take part in the ceremony. Alou said today that he wants to rid himself of his glove at the same time...contemplating selling it on Ebay.
