When you add in his superior arm, great glove, above average base running and his professionalism, I would say if anyone on the team is earning their money it is him ( and pujols).

I must admit that I was critical of Rolen last season. He didn't look good at the plate at times and his defense was inconsistent. He never really recovered from the whiplash he got from so-called slide vs Boston.Go Cards ...12 in 13.

Rolen is a total stud. I love that guy. He will never be the best player on any team that includes the name Albert Pujols, but he's great.
He does everything well. Something tonight that impressed me... he was on first when Renteria flared one to right. Watching on TV, I couldn't tell if Hidalgo was going to get there... Rolen never hesitated, and was rounding second at full speed when the ball dropped.
Anything hit to third is an automatic out.
The man is a ballplayer.

Rolen is really making me smile this year. I kind of scratched my head sometimes last year but I get completely different vibes from the dude this year.
