  • Attention: Joe W, Dhaab

See what happens when you guys go after the Faction?

The whole site blows up. Let that be a lesson to you.

I know, alas, but I think dhaab was getting ready to start yelling at me. Tony did a great job, in my view, in 2002, but I really got fed up last year. I just don't think he can bring home a pennant. Not sure anyone else could with this team, either. They're the wrong guys for the way the owners want to play.....they're much better off in an organization that wants to spend money. Walt and Tony would do well in Anaheim or Baltimore right now.

Which brings me to my original point. It's not about the money.

It's about the money NOW because we have to buy everybody. If our farm system was at least in the middle of the pack, and we could answer some of our needs from below, then the pressure to push payroll over 100 million wouldn't be there.

Ok, I made it through Joe's Faction thread at the other board. Apparently that thread was the death knell of the that place.

Good work, Joe, but you seem to have lumped me in with some folks I'd rather not be associated with, like Reggie, and well, you. No personal offense intended of course, but a man is judged by the company he keeps. I'm sure you understand.

So let's get this fight started again. Kenny, Joe thinks you don't know anything about baseball and if you and the other Faction wierdos think La Russa is the wrong guy, you're full of it.
          I'm always right.

Joe referenced me in that other thread and so maybe I should explain things.

Why did I join the Faction?

Free beer. Oh yeah, I don't like TLR either, but the free beer thing is pretty huge with me.

Jeez - nobody ever told me THAT.

I mean, I like KoolAid and everything, but if you're talking free beer - hell, get rid of TLR, Walt and everybody else associated with that club...

                >>It's about the money NOW because we have to buy everybody. If our farm system was at least in the middle of the pack<<

Who's responsible for the farm system?
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

And it's good beer too. AB stuff...not that keystone crap the Koolaiders were trying to bribe me with (the krew tried to tell me they would break tradition and give me beer, but when I asked what kind, they got all mousy and stuff).

Ok, Damtoft's in. Now we're getting somewhere.

I can't help but think back to when Razzy was unceremoniously ousted as Emperor, and the Faction was in total disarray. I offered my considerable services to this group, not so much because I believe in its mission, but because I would have made a great Emperor, plus, you know, the free beer. But alas, my offer wasn't accepted. And La Russa's still the manager. Coincidence?

Well, I think the KoolAid Krew was offering Keystone to the members of the opposition group, since their views on Cardinals baseball tended to conjure up images of "Bitter Beer Face"

                        Present company excluded, of course...

                          Yes, of course, Stan.

Every team needs a liquored up idiot kicker. For the Faction, that idiot is me.

I am headed to Canada next week. Big interview with a local cable station there.

Well, then, just consider me the Emperor. Maybe I can get a grass roots thing started here.

Bombay, as your Faction Emperor, are there any Faction related questions you'd like me to address? I am all about accountability.
