why isn't he up here? If we are going to carry 12 pitchers shouldn't we be carrying the best 12?

He will be brought up and JUST in time for us to finish a game out of the wildcard.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Young pitchers and this management team don't mix.

10 K's damn... Ok what would you folks do? Bring him up and send Woody down for additional rehab time? Apparently he needs it.. Or let the kid stay and build his confidence, then bring him up per around the All Star break. He didn't pitch bad at first last year, but once he got around the league. I'd say damn the torpedos and bring him up and see what he has got. Let Woody try and get his act together under less pressure.. Your thoughts?

I'd prefer him be down all year.

I would leave him down to. His peripheral stats indicate that he is probably ready to contribute at the major league level, but the consequences of rushing him are too dire so it will make it more beneficial in the long run to keep him in the minors. Let him stay in the minors so he can build up his stamina and confidence, and then hopefully we will have a staff next year that develops young pitching well.

I can't argue with you Fishbone, nor No1CardFan. However, who would you bring up to let Woody take some pressure off himself? It is obvious he is not ready. Let him work out his problems here? I guess once healthy Alan Benes may be an option, but I don't see TLR or DD having confidence in him more than long relief.
