Emmitt Smith to backup Shipp

The NFL's all-time rushing leader told the newspaper that he will play even in a backup position. "At this point, I'm going to take it one year at a time," Smith told the Post on Friday night. Smith was in the Washington D.C. area for a Special Olympics charity dinner hosted by the NFL Players Association. "Playing next season is definite. Oh, yeah, it's definite. I wouldn't be going through these [offseason] camps if I wasn't definite about next season."

Smith should have retired as a Cowboy. At this rate, all he's doing is making himself look worse and worse...
