  • TLR's infielder playing the OF costs us again

Bases loaded, a blast to deep left. 98 out of 100 outfielders make that catch. Anderson doesnt.
“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”

Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

It can be pointed out that had Pujols caught that pop foul ball before the drive to left, it would have gotten us out of the inning. And CJ barely took ball 4 to draw a bases loaded walk. It was sure close.

Still no excuse for having Anderson in left field. How many runs has him being out there cost us this season? By my count, it is 7 and rising.

You knew when that foul pop-up wasn't caught there was going to be hell to pay.

I guess Tony thinks Anderson is going to hit a grand slam per game, to make up for the three runs he's bound to allow.

Should Marlon have had that? Maybe. Still would have been a good play.

But, Woody walked the bases loaded. Thats inexcusable.

This team just cant get over the hump.

Pujols fucked up, Woody fucked up, Marlon fucked up....big, again.

As usual, the offense will now be asked to score nine runs.

Why no mention of Womack's inability to make throws to Edgar and/or to turn the double play?

The defense is going to kill this team - just as predicted.

why did he even jump at the wall? he did it for effect, but he wasn't trying to catch it. he didn't even stick his glove in the air. but it's not his fault he's out there. if you're gonna have an IF play the OF, stick them in right, not left.

                    Joe,

Colin Porter hitting .400 at Memphis.

But, the Genius calls up Bo Hart.

Anderson was a lot more concerned with running into the wall than he was with catching the ball.

Well, Anderson got two of them back, so that makes him only -2 on the day

Well, I guess its a wash today. He has cost us 3 runs and driven in 3 runs.

He has looked great at the plate, just not in the field. Amazing how 2 of the 3 "questionable" 2B we brought to camp our playing lights out. Unfortunately, one is playing LF.
