I wonder how close the voting was. I was hoping for a tie, like in 1994 when Jason Kidd and Grant Hill shared the award.

melo shoulda won, IMO. he stepped up his game in the latter part of the year to will his team into the playoffs.

They really should split the award. If Carmelo and LeBron switched teams, would the Nuggets be out of the playoffs and the Cavs in? I think not. Both were huge all year, and you can even make a case for Hinrich and Wade too. Overall a great rookie class.
