Roger Dean stadium is about 4 miles from the beach. I stayed at Holiday Inn in Juno and so the beach was right behind us. It was a public beach and so could have been a little cleaner, but the ocean was quite beautiful...as you know, they usually are.
Orlando is ... I can't remember exactly, but I want to say not much over an hour away. The Florida Turnpike is a toll road, but there are very few exits on there and uuhhh, you can caruuuuuuuuuuuuuse. There was a stretch where the flow of traffic was 90-95 mph.
There are some things to do in West Palm (about 20 min.s south). I knwo my sister was trying to find time to make it to some zoo they have there or something. The niece kept wanting to go to teh ballfields and stuff with me though.
There is an aquarium place in Jupiter/Juno as well. We didn't make it there either.
Next year, I am flying into either WP or Orlando and will rent a car (driving was fine, but I really need more time there). I will spend a minimum of 5 days in that area. Maximum 7 days.
From the title, it makes you wonder: What kind of Cardinalfan would be the kid of CG and JD?
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life. -TR

Madyaks2 Thought Of The Day: I'm just as dumb as madyaks1.
Orlando is less than 1.5 hour drive for sure. Two years ago I went, got there on Thursday night and stayed in Orlando and did the theme park thing on Fri/Sat. Left at dark on Sat. and drove down to West Palm. Stayed in West Palm until we left on Tuesday. We drove up to Jupiter for the games, about 20 min drive north from West Palm. The only reason I stayed down in Palm is cause I had Hilton points and got to stay at the Palm Beach Hilton for free. If you're taking the kids and going for 4 days, the 2 day Orlando / 2 day jupiter thing might work out well for you. They'll get theme park time, ocean time, and baseball all in 4 days.
