Much has been spoken about Ray's offensive tear the first week of the season, but his solid defense has been equally important. Marlon Anderson is a disaster in left field. There are guys on my third grade nephew's baseball team with better arms than Marlon. Plus, Marlon's misread of the ball Monday may have cost us the game.
I never appreciated the above-average arms of last year's outfield--Edmonds, Pujols, Drew, and Marrero--until I watched Sanders and Anderson make a few throws this year.
