OK, the other night against Milwaukee was just getting used to the new uniform (that can be trickier than you might think -- and nobody point out that he wore it all through spring training, either).
(Knowing I would need them, I have been collecting excuses all winter. This isn't my best one, but it's only the first game and I have to pace myself.)
Tonight, it starts in earnest.
Jeff Suppan, 7 innings, 6 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks, 5 strikeouts.
If he gets a few runs to work with, it will all be good.
