Anybody else concerned

8 games in and I believe he has caught every inning. Sure we are benefiting from his offense now, but when he is worn out by this time in August and is hitting .200 I think it will be readily apparent as to his decline. This trend has been set the past three years: blazing start and horrible end. The dude needs a break, and I don't care if it is Bo Hart catching, we need to save him for the second half of the season.

I agree that it is a good idea to rest Matheny periodically. It's probably time to let McKay catch a game or two.

But he is a pitcher, isn't he? We should let Bo catch a game or two. Everybody knows that a slick fielding fourth string second baseman who hits in the one nineties is the logical choice to spell your catcher.

But with our backup psotion being what it is..possibly worst than last season..I'm confident Matheny will be played into the ground again and be much less of an offensive threat by August..
