Tkachuk's stock falling in St. Louis

    By STEVE SIMMONS, Toronto Sun

There is no reason for debate anymore: Keith Tkachuk isn't just the most overpaid and selfish player in hockey. Quite possibly, he's also the dumbest on the ice. Watching the St. Louis Blues decompose against the quicker San Jose Sharks is like watching a meltdown of one apparently talented, wildly-paid player who has somehow lost his mind. Or so it seems by how he has played and how many mindless penalties he has taken.

And to think, Joel Quenneville lost his coaching job trying to work this guy.

Just read my comments in the last couple pages of yesterday's game day thread. I more or less echo this. There isn't a player in this league who takes more idiotic, selfish penalties than Keith Tkachuk.

True. But Pronger tried like hell yesterday.

We'd come out ahead just dumping their salary for a bag of pucks.

I am so ready for the Blues to be rid of these high dollar, no heart players and go with some youth who have passion and desire to hit and to play physical hockey.

It's good to have emotion...but it has to be controlled emotion. Tkachuk's emotion is so out of control that it is often detrimental.

Yes MORE hitting resulting in dumb penalties is what they need.

I hear ya man. Same here.

This team just makes me want to puke.

Hitting isn't what results in dumb penalties. Hitting a guy who is nowhere near the puck results in dumb penalties. Using your stick as a weapon results in dumb penalties.
