Will the bats stay hot against the Unit?

Don't the cards usually hit Johnson well?

      Another banner day for Albert?

Ron Jacober had Albert on KMOX this morning, and he played Mike Shannon's call of the AB vs. Kerry Wood, in which Pujols homered after being knocked down...

He said that he loved hearing Shannon say "Take a ride on that, BIG BOY!"

He then asked Ron Jacober for a copy of that tape so he could replay it. He then said something we already know..."Mike Shannon is awesome."

I'm hoping for no, and not just because I'm a Cubs fan.

Cubs - Braves getting underway. Wood v. Ortiz.

I don't think Braves fans care too much about the reg. season either.
They were playing the Mets, so I doubt many Cubs fans were in attendance. Although, Cubs fans are pretty stupid so you really never know.
If you believe in something sacrifice a hobo to it or don't bother.

Yes, Cards fans will tell you we "own" the Unit. That actually might be true today - not sure how ready for prime time he is.

The White Sox scored 3 on Mussina and are beating the Yankees AGAIN today.

We're not too far away from the first Steinbrenner tirade of 2004.

Detroit leads Minnesota 1-0; the Cubs lead Atlanta 2-0; the Pirates lead the Reds 1-0; Tampa Bay leads Baltimore 1-0.

And here I sit, patiently waiting on Schilling.

What station is the Cards game on today?

Yes, we do know that, but it bears repeating as often as possible. My respect for Albert has increased exponentially.

10-1 Cubs heading to the bottom of the ninth. This was a ballgame until the 8th when Will Cunnane (A former Cub) started lobbing BP. Patterson, Barrett, Alou, and Gonzalez have all homered in this game.

                        It's over, 10-2 final.

I remember one of Pujols' first games and I believe he went long off RJ. Ankiel was pitching.

I seem to think we do better against Randy than a lot of teams, but this is a new year.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Marquis again.
