MILWAUKEE -- Andy Pettitte was placed on the disabled list with a broken left elbow on Saturday, and will in all likelihood miss the rest of the season. Pettitte's freak injury occurred during a check swing in his first regular season start on April 6 versus San Francisco. An MRI was performed at The Methodist Hospital in Houston on Thursday that revealed a fracture in his left elbow and a strain in his flexor tendon.
Pettitte, who is with the team in Milwaukee, allowed six runs over 5 1/3 innings in his Houston debut. The Astros have yet to announce who will pitch in his place. A corresponding move to replace Pettitte on the roster will be made after Saturday's game in Milwaukee
Winston, Now I bet the Astros REALLY wish they didn't trade Robertson!!
