What the f is Black Friday?

And, why all the racialism? Why not White Friday or Yellow Friday or Brown Friday?

The day after Thanksgiving is tradtionally a very busy shopping day.

The ads show the items that will be on super duper sale.

I just posted a link above.

It's named Black Friday, because it's the day the retailers move from being in the red to being in the black.

Ah yes, the Day After Thanksgiving shopping. I generally avoid all that craziness unless it is of absolute necessity. It's not worth it to me to fight all those crowds just to save a few dollars. I do like to get out for a bit that day, but the only thing I ever plan on buying is my box of Christmas cards for that year.

GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR EVERYONE BUT KIDS THIS YEAR.

no gifts, no picking stuff out. I plan on enjoying this season for the first time since I was a kid. I don't want any presents unless it's a mini busch stadium or gift certificates to barnes and noble.

Do you think it's because we're getting older or is it our generation? IE: The preference for gift certificates.

I like to do some shopping and picking out gifts for people but if it gets too stressful this year, I'm going with the gift certificates this year. I did a lot of shopping on-line last year due to time constraints.

well, I am in one of those positions where everyone in my family is married but me. It costs me double because I feel bad getting couples just one thing, but this year I don't care anymore. I have noticed the past few years that buying gifts for other adults, friends or family, is getting to be like a chore for everyone. No one enjoys picking things out anymore it seems like.

And if I get one more gd chip and dip bowl I am going to have a hissy fit.
