They say that every year...and every year the budget goes up.

Bernie just needed something to write about.

Bernie's pissed because Dewitt wouldn't provide him with a "scoop" about the payroll.

Bernie can sit his ass down and wait and see like the rest of us whether Dewitt raises the payroll or not.

There'll be several huge signings and/or trades and Bernie will make a multitude of excuses about how, really, "he was right."

Or better yet, his column and world-rocking stirred the action!

Seen it happen a million times.

Yeah...BM will try to take credit for 'pressuring' Cardinal management.

                  Good call.

I like the way Bernie finally got tough with Mike after it's clear he's gone.

I'm with TTB on this. Unless my math is way off, the money they were willing to pay Edgar was lots more than what they picked up with Mulder. JJ.

Proceeds from the sale won't go to Cardinals Care, the team's charitable organization. Instead, funds raised through the auction will defray construction costs at the new Busch Stadium.

In other words, DeWitt Care. ?[/b][/quote]

LOL, I guess he needs the money so he can give it to Bush so he can get on a secret intelligence committee.
