For those at work and would like to watch, I'm pretty sure ksdk.com will have a live feed of these blessed events (at least that's what I heard when I was half asleep and listening to the news the other morning).

If you can watch, nsane, you're a tougher person than me.
I remember cutting class my senior year in high school to catch a few day games, and every time, we found a vendor who served.
I remember skipping work because I was "sick" and taking a date to the 1995 home opener. I remember my boss seeing me making out with the girl after the game in the parking garage. I remember getting fired the next evening.
I remember how exciting it was getting autographs as a little kid, or hearing the mere words "Busch Stadium" after coming home from school, knowing it was going to be a late night and the visions of seeing a yard more green than any other yard I've ever seen.
People can call Busch Stadium all the nasty words they want, how it looked like hell, how hot it was, it was a "cookie cutter"..
but it always felt like heaven to me.The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life. -TR

Yeah, I'll watch.
I cried when The Arena was imploded, I'm sure I'll do the same today. (I know I'm not the only one either).Feb. 08, 2005

At first I wasn't sure what the significance was (after seeing 007's pics) - I thought they had already begun the demolition. I didn't know this was the first day they were taking the wrecking ball to the stadium itself.

I found this rather interesting:
QUOTEThe Cardinals announced plenty more on Friday, and among other things they likely made one fan very happy. As the culmination of a months-long raffle, the club announced that Glenda Postin of Lewiston, Ill., won the chance to trigger the first wrecking ball shot. Her name was chosen from 250 finalists, all of whom are invited to a demolition party on Monday. The proceeds from the raffle, $66,210, will be distributed to Cardinals Care, the United Way and hurricane relief efforts.[/b][/quote]

Seeing how this is fall, and the stadium in question belongs to the St. Louis Cardinals, it seems only fitting that the wrecking ball swings and misses."There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
