  • WTF is going on with 101.1 the river?

That used to be my favorite STL radio station, and now it seems they are having a bit of an identity crisis.

They now claim to play "today's best music" but the only music they have added are old Nelly songs, REALLY old Salt and Pepa songs, and the the occasional hip hop stuff. I'm sorry, but if you're going to change the music you play, then be consistent about it. I don't want to hear 5 or 6 modern rock songs and then hear 50 cent's "in da club"....thats annoying. We already have 107 as a mix radio station, i think 101.1 is making a mistake.

Funny, all my uncles from the hippie era talk about how KSHE went soft in the late 80's.

What you need is a quality radio.

                  Here you go
"Whaddya mean I hurt your feelings?"
                  "I didn't know you
                  had any feelings"

I don't know if it went "soft" per say, but it has changed. Listen to 88.1 or if you like River type music check out 88.9. The best part is both of these are commercial free...

The 99% rule is quite accurate. Here in Detroit the local FM radio sucks. XM is the only way to listen to music. I can't stand hearing the same 40 songs over and over ........
