• Hurricane Wilma sucked ass

Hurricane Wilma knocked out my power for a few days and my cable and internet for even longer. In fact I just got my internet service back up today (Atlantic broadband SUCKS). Didn't get to see games 3 and 4 of the WS and the local ESPN radio station kept losing power throughtout the games so I couldn't even listen to them. I also lost money and work cause I work from home and can't work without internet service. I also had some damage to my car, the front windshield has some small cracks along with other few problems that cost me a total of just over 300 dollars to fix.

Anyways I am lucky that I am alright and had no major damage done unlike other people I know. My ex-roommate lost one of his cars completely and only had liability on it so he is screwed. (Luckily it was his wife's crappy cavalier but still.) Not to mention other people that lost their homes completely.

Hopefully things will start getting back to normal soon, nice to be able to browse the foram thats for sure

. . . and to tell you this: I work with gays, have friends who are gay, go to church with gays. Most of them are aware that I believe that homosexual behavior is sin. Some of them actually agree. Most don't. It's OK . . . because they also know or at least have been made aware of my multitude of sins: adulterous heart, lustful and covetous behavior, wicked pride, angry spirit . . . do I need to go on?

I wish I didn't get to see games 3 and 4 of the World Series. (and 1 and 2 while we are at it)

You didn't miss much. The White Sox thrashed the Astros...wasn't even close...nothing that would want to make you pull your hair out or anything.

            Hurricanes suck.

I hear ya, X. The gas lines and empty grocery stores combined with the power outtages made for a tough week around South Florida....

...And now that everyone is out and about, half of the traffic lights still don't work. Makes for a chaotic ride to and from work (where we're powered by generators that keep fucking up). Anyway, we really have nothing to bitch about where I'm at. Got some damage...roof tiles tore off of the roof like dominos and ripped through my screen enclosure and fucked up my pool, but at least we don't have any roof leaks or anything. Plus, we got power back rather quickly compared to most down here, so I can't complain.

My wife thought I was crazy for calling Directv only minutes after the winds "calmed" to 50mph or so, but she was thankful a few days later when they showed up (rabbit ears suck). The DTV guy showed up and installed a new dish on Saturday morning since I found my old one floating in the lake behind my house. I was able to watch all the college and NFL games last weekend while my neighbor who called only few hours after me doesn't have his appointment until tomorrow. Anyhow, yeah, I'm ready for things to get back to normal, too....If you can ever call South Florida "normal".
