• The next two "cursed" franchises in MLB never to win.

    Which stands the better chance?

If the St(Rangers) ever could get some pitching, my bets on them.

The Cubs, despite being the best team on paper, plays like the worst team on the field.

Cleveland is closer to winning it than any of the teams mentioned.

While I'm not going to spend the offseason worrying about (or respecting) the Cubs, they do have a similar model to what the Astros had, and what many have preached is necessary for postseason success.

They've got 3 power pitchers capable (at times) of stifling the opposing offense, and while they don't have the depth at #5 in their rotation that becomes less necessary in the postseason. Their offense, while inconsistent is capable of getting hot for a stretch.

That said, after seeing what happened in 2003, hopefully we'll still see many more years of . After all. "potential" just means you haven't accomplished anything yet...
