    Actually, the White Sox were one of the teams most dependent on the HR to score runs. The whole notion that the White Sox are a small ball team is a myth.

        They definitely have small ball tendencies: sacrifice bunts, stolen base attempts, etc. But the fact is, Konerko was pretty much the driving force behind the offense, and at times was the offense. Jermaine Dye helped at times, but the White Sox were Cub like in their reliance on the HR.
