I don't understand what Cedeno gives you that Ray can't. I have no problem with trading Widger and Delgado, but why for Roger Cedeno?

What does he bring to the table?

Because he is the 2nd outfielder off the bench.

I think anytime we go against a lefty, you will see So or Cedeno in left. I don't blame TLR for playing him last night. After all, he needs to see what he has in this guy.

              Thanks

What else could you have gotten for Delgado and Widger?
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

Prior, Wood, Zambrano, their salaries, future considerations, three players to be named later and a partridge in a pear tree

Not much, but I would have rather gone after another middle reliever or something. Or held onto Widger since he is a legitimate backup. All I know is the Mets are paying an awful lot of money to have Roger play for the Cardinals.

Sounds kind of like Tino huh?

How funny it is that we're hearing (reading) folks saying they want Sir Lankford to play every day.

Two days ago, we had threads on here about how he sucked and looked bad on that first at-bat.

(I'm not saying the same people are saying both things.)
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."

Lets not forget about his stellar play in left field.

There will be games this year when a pinch hitter is needed. Cedeno will be chosen, but I bet I'd rather see Morris or Marquis or Woody. Let Cedeno run for them if they get on.
