    Kev,

    How do you explain this?
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

I just got back from Springfield, Illinois about an hour ago (BTW, it was a rain/snow mix at the Carlinville exit.)

It is 44°F in Carlinville, no snow at that temp, sorry you were hallucinating.

Was that the atmospheric temperature? I ask because while rare, it can snow some in that temperature.

I know snow when I see it. My car thermometer is usually within two degrees of the "offical" temp. At about three this afternoon, I drove through a very heave rain/snow mix. Them temp reading dropped to 36.

Not true. The general rule is 41 degrees but it can move a couple degrees on rare occasions.
