  • The Day After Sucks...

First thing you think about when you wake up.

What a miserable way to start to the day.

I'm still trippin' over the whole Busch Stadium thing...
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."

If this were any other year, I would still be disappointed, but I would accept it. Being its the last year of Busch, this is tough to swallow.

I wasn't able to watch the game or be on the forum last night, which is probably a good thing. I listened to KMOX and I was disappointed, but in the end, we just got beat by a better team, and I can live with that.

I don't get too emotional about the stadium either. Maybe if I was there last night, but as much as some will miss the old Busch, the new one is going to be sweet.

I just had the first person of the day come up to me in the office and say "sorry about your boys", when it happens I feel like punching him in the face, but yet I also feel like saying "yeah thanks, but they didn't deserve to win anyway".

Last night kind of takes some of the luster off of Albert's home run. It was still one of the most awesome things I have ever seen, but it doesn't mean much right now.

                I feel pretty good.

Some good baseball this season. Blues won one last night. Martz is off the sideline. Spring training starts in 130 days.

Next year we win it all.

I may lose my job today. My bosses son is a big asstro fan. If that little prick says one thing to me, I'll punch him in the face, give him a kick to the old nutsack and say "Adios"....

I'm not depressed that they're taking a big metal ball to the old bitch.... I've been watchign the new stadium go up, and I'm excited for 2006.

The only problem is that I've got to wait like a month plus after the season starts to see a game in Busch III.

The worst "day after" I ever felt was after the 1987 World Series. The weather was miserable and realising the Cardinals lost to a team that didn't even win 90 games in the regular season.

And don't get me started on that fucking piece of shit dome.

I feel fine. Last year I was fucking crushed, though. A loss in the NLCS is much easier to swallow than a loss in the World Series.

Last year was over quick; Boston came in and crushed us.

This year was a slow death. We lost 4-1, 4-3, 2-1 in Games 2-3-4 and it was a constant letdown. Then we are given false hope with Albert's last second reprieve. Everyone goes crazy. We're back! 45 hours later, BAM, good nite Irene.
