  • Thanks, St. Louis Cardinals

What a great season. It didn't end the way we wanted, but the ride was fun. So many memories from this year topped off by Prince Albert bringing us home and a chance to win.

The old lady goes out tonight, but many more memories await in the new park.

    Thanks again, Cards.

Not a championship to show for these two yrs. Still, unfinished business to take care of the 23rd year in a row.

Yep, but next year is another chance. Time to remove Tony and his cronies and let someone else take a crack at it.

Still, this year was exciting and fun. We just came up short.

The Astros had better starting pitching and did enough to win.

No shame in the effort put in by the Red Birds. For the second year in a row we won't be world champions.

          It hurts.

          That's baseball.

So if you want to bitch and moan about Tony and the line up go right ahead.

If you want to bitch an moan about not winning the division but taking the wild card go ahead too.

For two years - this team has put in on a line for us like none since the 80's and if you remember Whitey lost the last to WS also.

No matter what happens now - this team has the second most postseason wins in the last two years.

I'd still rather have our team than any other in baseball.

I'm not watching the WS because I am a Cardinal baseball fan not a pure baseball fan.

So go ahead and look forlorn - my head is up and it won't go down.

Go Stros but you still suck.

Haven't felt this embarrassed about a team since the '01 Rams. I truly believed that this was the year. But never again will I be fooled.

And yes, pgrote, get rid of LaRussa and Joketty. 11 yrs is enough. They are approaching Bill Cowher/Chuck Knox status.

Yep - it is the Cardinals fault. They OWE us. We deserve a WS.

                        A. what the fuck does this matter?

                        B. Houston currently has THE SAME number of victories than we do in the past two postseasons.

They put on a great regular season. I just wish they could carry that out through the entire playoffs.

I love the Cardinals, I always have. This year's outcome won't make me love them any less.

I'll be anticipating the regular season more than anything once the December meetings come, moreso when they report for Spring Training, and I'll barely be able to control myself when they play their first Spring Training Game. I'll do anything I can to be at Opening Day next year. That will be really special.

We're lucky to have such a good franchise. At least we have a chance most years.

But man, it's been a LONG time! I'm 32 and have only seen 1 WS win from a team which has won 9!

I would have at least liked to have seen a National League Championship to bring it to 17. And I could have put up another poster in my basement.
