  • Where to bet on sports online?

Where is a reputable place to place a bet online for the Cards to win the NLCS?

I'm set to sell WS tix to a white sox fans for double what I paid (which is damn generous for what they are going for here in Chicago). If the Cards make it past NLCS I keep the tix though. What I want to do is make enough money to pay for my ticket (approx. 150) if the cards win because I'ma broke student and shouldn't even be paying the $150. So I'm going to hedge my bets and place a bet on the Cards to win the NLCS enough to cover for what the cost of one of the tickets is. I realize this would cut into my profit if the Sox win, but I'm more concerned about not losing anything.

So anyway, what is the best site out there, I've never bet on a sports game online. Thanks!

There's a good idea. Hedging your bet for a guy who shouldn't have paid $150 for the ticket in the first place.

Dude, what are you talking about? I make 300 dollars if the Cards don't make it. I don't think you quite get it do you?

That's a damn good plan. If the Cards win he essentially gets to go to the Series for free. If they lose, he has a couple of hundred extra bucks to help cushion the blow.

I use a site called www.vipsports.com...Setting up the payments is kind of a pain because you have to go through two different kinds of paypal-eque sites, but once you get established, it's pretty good and the odds tend to be good...

I was watching the beginning of the game Monday with a bunch of guys, and Dogman, who's a well known jinx, offered to bet me $10 that the Astros would win the NLCS so that we could put the hex on them. So far, so good.

It was crazy that night. Cub boy was sitting there, and when Grudz singled to drive in 2 runs in the third, he let out a whoop of joy! I was dumbfounded. He was ashamed, though.

Dogman? He must be in Glovey's fraternity

The Dogman is famous for hitting on anything that moves and can't be legally proven to be his grandmother.

Thanks guys! Now I'm set to make 165 if the Cards win. I make $15 bucks for beer money (yeah right) at the game if the cards win, and if they lose I make $200 counting what I bet on them to win.
