I can't really go into much detail, because I don't know yet! but the non-profit that I run is bringing an MLB RBI program to Las Vegas.

Both MLB, Boys and Girls Club, and our AAA Dodgers Affiliate have been really interested in doing this -- Vegas should be able to attract MLB players to come down and participate, apparently, perhaps in conjunction with the Home Run Tourney, and of course Vegas is Vegas -- and the community here has been excited about it as well. There's no reason why first pitch won't be thrown sometime about 10 months from now, helping to revitalize our downtown and aid kids in the State with the biggest high school dropout rate.
If you have any NEW baseball equipment, uniform supplier contacts, etc. that you'd like to donate, please PM me. I'd love to hear from you! If you're interested in donating $$$, sponsoring a team or some such, we could comp you a nice suite in one of Las Vegas' finer casinos for the weekend at the opening bash next Winter. Something smaller like a bag of balls would be very appreciated also! All donations would go to the League expenses(not to salaries, etc.), and to whatever degree possible, it would be tax-deductible under our 501©3 approval.
Anyways, I'll be bumping this over the next 12 months as I know more and more details, but it's really exciting and if you want to help young people learn to love baseball like you all love the game, please feel free to write me. Of course, there is a St. Louis RBI program available through Cardinals Care, and I'm sure they would appreciate your support, also.

Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI), sponsored by Major League Baseball, is a program designed to promote the game of baseball to teenage boys and girls in disadvantaged areas.
