  • Nunez Will Start Game 6 at 3b

    QUOTE
Nunez looked good during BP today (optional workout at Busch) and is moving well, so he's a go for Game 6.

Most of the pitchers were here, plus position players such as Eckstein, Nunez, Luna, Pujols, Edmonds, Molina. But Edmonds, Pujols and Molina didn't work out.

Everyone was still buzzing about the Pujols HR -- but also emphasizing that it won't mean as much if the Cardinals fail to win Game 6 and keep going. [/b][/quote]

He was in the dugout last nite w/ a helmet and bat ready to pinch-hit for someone....he's gonna be fresh and he'll be key

He's been hitting well and is obviously superior in the field to the other choices. Good news.

That's very encouraging. Let's hope Pujols' blast wakes up the bats.

Mr. Edmonds, you need to be attending these "optional" workouts.

You still suck at batting in the post-season. Can't say the same for the other two who did not show.

Having Abe there is important. Luna had a great play in the 1st inning, but he made a few gaffes at 3B after that (inlcuding one error) and looked helpless at the plate. Having Abe back will do much to soothe my worries about a guy that only played the position 7 times in 05.
