  • Why I relished last night's win, Part 1

Premature ejaculation by a television network. Fox used the top of the ninth to do two things:

    (1) Introduce the player of the game, Lance Berkman, for his titan blast.

    (2) Give us retrospectives on the Astros and how they had now rid themselves of the label of being the franchise with the second longest streak of never having made the World Series, and the impending demolition of Busch stadium.

I relish the bruise on my hand from jumping up and having it whacked by the ceiling fan in my living room.

I sprayed 'gentleman's relish' all over the inside of my boxer shorts when Pujols hit that blast.....so I guess I relished last night's win as well

I now know what Kirk Gibson felt like hitting that PH HR as I was doing the Gibby "Arm Thrust" about several hundred times when the last out was recorded.

I've done that before too, when St. Louis came back to tie Calgary in the Monday night miracle.
