I was so hoping that Tony would go all Piniella on em. He should have torn a base out of the ground and thrown it, or kicked some fucking dirt around.

I think it's his job to step in between the manager and other ump so that the game can resume. I didn't have a problem with McClellen trying to get Tony back into the dugout.

I think Lyons said it best when he said that Tony should use the spin move on McClellen.

The Umps should not be allowed to touch the players, especially chest tapping. Talk about a power fucking trip.

As much as I hate the damn CBA, I think the players should include something in their next CBA that gives them more protection from the umps.

Apparently Cuzzi swore at Edmonds first, saying "Don't you fucking come back here and argue with me" before Jim got tossed.

Umpires can touch the player (or chest bump) if it is to prevent the player from getting at their target (be it an opposing player, or another umpire).

Cuzzi should not be touching Edmonds, but McClelland can be, be it to escort him off the field or keep him from getting at Cuzzi.
