Fortunately for cities like Pittsburgh, there will be no NHL for Lemieux to return to next year.

What a joke. The only reason he is coming back is to sell season tickets, the guy is worthless on the ice now.

i don't even think he's selling that many tickets anymore. i think even fans in pitts have realized its not like he's gonna play every game, or even close.

          Dear Mario -

Please sell the team and move them to Winnipeg. I admire your efforts, but even Superman couldn't save yer damn team.

          Love,
          ali

            Dear NHL,

Make sure the lockout lasts over a year so teams will fold on their own, including the Penguins.

            Thanks,
            Mark Sauer

              It is simply

because, He is one of the "Greats"

              and I do mean greats.

So what if Super Mario can not light up the ice. It is because of bad officiating, mother nature, goons like Tony Twist (who can occaisionally thunder, but can't fight his way out of a really bad alley), this is what the game is all about.

Pure skill, thinking, and more. That is what seperates Soccer-football, from the other sports.

What a shame, such a great Hockey 'town, as "the Loo", and they do not know real 'Hockey'."

Huh??? That post makes no sense.

Yes he is one of the "Greats" did anyone say otherwise? Just b/c he was a great player doesn't mean he should still be playing. The Penguins should be more concerned with rebuilding their team. Trying to get an injured "Great" onto the ice won't better the team or make his career any more fullfilling.

Both of you are assuming this team makes it out of the lockout...
