  • $72 for cable?!!

I just got my charter cable bill, they jacked up the price of my HBO-cinemax package to 72 bucks, up from a $55 ¨promotion¨ they say ended in April. I wasn´t aware of that crap.

I guess I´m gonna try switching to a dish. I think i will get alot more for my money with a dish, and i see alot of promotions for Dish Network and Direct TV.
Which one should i go with? Any pitfalls of using a dish compared to cable?

you're ONLY paying 72??? Mines always 80-something...digital with the HBO package...
. . . and to tell you this: I work with gays, have friends who are gay, go to church with gays. Most of them are aware that I believe that homosexual behavior is sin. Some of them actually agree. Most don't. It's OK . . . because they also know or at least have been made aware of my multitude of sins: adulterous heart, lustful and covetous behavior, wicked pride, angry spirit . . . do I need to go on?

I just talked to them on the phone, they have an HBO- Cinemax package that is CHEAPER than what you are paying stroker for just HBO. But, its still god awful expensive.

Dish Network eh? You think Direct TV would be better Sparrow? Which one has that promotion right now_?

I loved it when I got my first bill on DirecTV. I was paying around 60 with Charter and with DTV, I pay about 40.

So's mine, but I don't mind so much as you get HBO on-demand.

One thing to consider...DirecTV is the one that offers all of the sports packages (Extra Innings, Sunday Ticket, etc.), so if you think you'd ever be interested in purchasing one of those in the future, keep that in mind.

I actually had that option when I had digital cable with Charter. I got the Center Ice package.

One things for sure, 50 bucks just for basic and expanded cable is too much for me. I don´t think i would ever buy the nfl or baseball packages, but it is a nice promotion to have available.

I have Direct TV. Its about $80-$100 a month the only downside is bad weather means no TV.

Just make sure you get Tivo to go with your choice.

Get DirecTV. You can't get the NFL Sunday Ticket with any other service.

TTB, how often do you lose your signal? There are ways to change the way you're getting the signal and make it stronger.

I used to have problems getting signals when it rained extremely hard, but I changed my signal strength and it RARELY happens now.
